Transfer GoDaddy Emails to Gmail or Google Workspace

If you want to migrate from GoDaddy to Google Workspace or a personal Gmail account, in addition to setting up a new Google Workspace or Google account, you'll need to transfer your email history from one service provider to the other.

To transfer emails from GoDaddy to Gmail manually:

  1. Open the Outlook app on your computer and ensure that you are signed in to your GoDaddy email account.
  2. Export your Outlook emails to a .pst file and save it on your hard drive.

With this method, custom labels will not be transferred. Only emails from your GoDaddy "Inbox" will be imported to Gmail.

To import your GoDaddy emails to Gmail:

  1. Navigate to Gmail.
  2. Click the "Settings" icon in the top upper corner, then "See all settings."
  3. Click the "Account and Import" or "Accounts" tab.
  4. Click "Import mail and contacts."
  5. Connect your GoDaddy email account using Gmail's instructions in a pop-up window.

  7. Wait for Gmail to import all messages from "Inbox" in GoDaddy.

The steps outlined above will import email from your GoDaddy account, but new emails will be auto-forwarded to Gmail only for 30 days. If you want to receive all future emails in Gmail, see the next section explaining how you can set up auto-forwarding to Gmail in your GoDaddy email account.

This method will allow you to receive copies of all future emails received in GoDaddy in Gmail. Emails that you already have in your GoDaddy email account will not be transferred. If you need to transfer your email history, refer to Option 1 or Option 2 .

  1. Sign in to Email and Office Dashboard using your GoDaddy username and password.
  2. Navigate to "Admin" > "Email Forwarding."
